Commutative Algebra, chapter III, § 2. General results on filtered rings and modules

*Let AA be a commutative ring,

A′=A[[X1,…,Xs]] A' = A[[X_1, \ldots, X_s]]

the ring of formal power series in ss indeterminates over AA and nn the ideal of A′A' consisting of the formal power series with no constant term. The ring A′A' is Hausdorff and complete with the n-adic topology and the polynomial ring A[X1,…,Xs]A[X_1, \ldots, X_s] is everywhere dense in A′A'.

It is sufficient to apply what has just been said to the case m={0}m = \{0\}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
