Commutative Algebra, chapter III, § 3. m-adic topologies on Noetherian rings
Let be a commutative Noetherian ring, an ideal of and two finitely generated -modules. If is an -good filtration on , the submodules form an -good filtration on the -module . As for , it is also true that
the family is then a filtration on compatible with its module structure over the ring filtered by the -adic filtration. Since is finitely generated, there exists an integer and a surjective -homomorphism which defines an injective -homomorphism
clearly is compatible with the filtrations and . As and are finitely generated (Lemma 2), it is sufficient by virtue of Proposition 1 to show that the filtration is m-good; but this is immediate by virtue of the existence of the canonical isomorphism and the fact that the relation , implies (Algebra, Chapter II, § 3, no. 7, Remark).
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
