Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 2. The lift of prime ideals

Let h:A→A′h : A \to A' be a ring homomorphism such that A′A' is integral over AA; then the associated continuous mapping ah:Spec(A′)→Spec(A)^a h : \mathrm{Spec}(A') \to \mathrm{Spec}(A) is closed. For every ideal a′a' of A′A', A′/a′A'/a' is integral over A′A', hence also over AA (§1§ 1, no. 1, Proposition 6) and Spec(A′/a′)\mathrm{Spec}(A'/a') is identified with a closed subspace V(a′)V(a') of Spec(A′)\mathrm{Spec}(A'); to show that ah^a h is closed, we see then (replacing A′A' by A′/a′A'/a') that it is sufficient to prove that the image of Spec(A)′\mathrm{Spec}(A)' under ah^a h is a closed subset of Spec(A)\mathrm{Spec}(A); now it follows from Theorem 1 that this image is just the set of prime ideals of AA containing the ideal Ker(h)\mathrm{Ker}(h) and this set is closed by definition of the topology on Spec(A)\mathrm{Spec}(A).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
