Commutative Algebra, chapter VI, § 2. Places

Let KK be a field, ff a place of KK with values in a field LL and K′K' an extension of KK. Then there exists an extension L′L' of LL and a place f′f' of K′K' with values in L′L' which extends ff. If x1,…,xnx_1, \ldots, x_n are elements of KK which are algebraically independent over KK and a1,…,ana_1, \ldots, a_n any elements ∈L\in L, f′f' may be chosen such that f(xi)=aif(x_i) = a_i for 1≤i≤n.1 \leq i \leq n.

Let VV be the ring off, gg the restriction off to VV and g′g' the extension of gg to V[x1,…,xn]V[x_1, \ldots, x_n] such that g′(xi)=a,g'(x_i) = a, for 1≤i≤n.1 \leq i \leq n. It is sufficient to take L′L' to be an algebraic closure of LL and apply Proposition 3 to g′g' and L′L': we obtain a placef': K′→L~′K' \to \tilde{L}' which extends g′g'; if x∈K−V,x \in K - V, then x−1∈m(V),x^{-1} \in m(V), whence f(x−1)=g(x−1)=0f(x^{-1}) = g(x^{-1}) = 0 and f′(x)=∞=f(x);f'(x) = \infty = f(x); hencef' extendsf.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
