Commutative Algebra, chapter VI, § 9. Application: locally compact fields

Let KK be a (not necessarily commutative) locally compact field which is not discrete and whose topology is defined by a discrete valuation vv; let AA be the ring and mm the ideal of vv and let us write Card(A/m)=q=pf\mathrm{Card}(A/m) = q = p^f (p prime). Then, there exists a system of representatives SS of A/mA/m in AA and a uniformizer uu for vv such that O∈SO \in S, S∗=S∩K∗S^* = S \cap K^* is a cyclic subgroup of K∗K^* and u−1Su=Su^{-1} Su = S. Moreover, every element of AA may be written uniquely in the form ∑i=0∞siui\sum_{i=0}^\infty s_i u^i, where si∈Ss_i \in S.

We shall use the following lemma:

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
