Algebra, chapter I, § 2. Identity element; cancellable elements; invertible elements

A magma with an identity element is called a unital magma. If E,E′E, E' are unital magmas, a homomorphism of the magma EE into the magma E′E' which maps the identity element of EE to the identity element of E′E' is called a unital homomorphism (or morphism) of EE into E′E'. An associative unital magma is called a monoid.

If E,E′E, E' are monoids, a unital morphism of EE into E′E' is called a monoid homomorphism or a monoid morphism of EE into E′E'.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
