Algebra, chapter I, § 2. Identity element; cancellable elements; invertible elements

Let E and F be two commutative monoids, S and T subsets of E and F respectively, f a homomorphism of E into F such that f(S)⊂Tf(S) \subset T and ε:E→ES,η:F→FT\varepsilon : E \to E_S, \eta : F \to F_T the canonical homomorphisms. There exists one and only one homomorphism g:ES→FTg : E_S \to F_T such that g∘ε=η∘fg \circ \varepsilon = \eta \circ f.

The homomorphism η∘f\eta \circ f of E into FTF_T maps every element of S to an invertible element of FTF_T.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
