Algebra, chapter I, § 6. Extensions, solvable groups, nilpotent groups

The definition of the operation τ\tau by formula (2) depends on the extension E′\mathscr{E}' and the section s′s'. When FF is commutative, the operation τ\tau does not depend on s′s'. For Int⁡(s′(g))∣i′(F)\operatorname{Int}(s'(g)) | i'(F) depends then only on the coset of s′(g)s'(g) mod. i′(F)i'(F).

More generally, let E:F→E→G\mathscr{E} : F \to E \to G be an extension of GG by a commutative group FF (it is not assumed that E\mathscr{E} admits a section). The group EE operates on FF by inner automorphisms, this image is trivial on the image of FF and hence defines an operation of GG on FF. If E\mathscr{E} admits a section, this operation is that defined by formula (2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
