Algebra, chapter II, § 7. Vector spaces

Let φ\varphi be an injective homomorphism of a field KK into a ring AA. For a KK-linear mapping f:E→Ff : E \to F (where EE and FF are two vector spaces over KK) to be injective (resp. surjective, zero), it is necessary and sufficient that f(A):E(A)→F(A)f_{(A)} : E_{(A)} \to F_{(A)} be injective (resp. surjective, zero).

This follows immediately from Proposition 19 and the Corollary to Proposition 18.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
