Algebra, chapter V, § 1. Prime fields. Characteristic

Remark 1 shows that if AA is a ring of characteristic 0 (resp. p≠0p \neq 0), the same holds of any ring A′A' containing AA as subring, or of any quotient of AA by a two-sided ideal a≠Aa \neq A. In particular, if KK is a field, every subfield of KK and every extension field of KK have the same characteristic as KK.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
