Algebra, V, p. 25, § 5. p-radical extensions

Let E be an extension of a field K. For every integer n≥0n \geq 0 let EnE_n be the set of elements of E which are p-radicalp\text{-radical} of height ≤n\leq n over K, and let ErE_r be the set of all elements of E that are p-radical over K. Then (En)n≥0(E_n)_{n \geq 0} is an ascending sequence of subextensions of E whose union is E∞E_\infty, and ErE_r is the largest p-radical extension of K contained in E.

For each integer n≥0n \geq 0 the set EnE_n consists of all elements xx of E such that xpn∈Kx^{p^n} \in K; since the mapping x↦xpnx \mapsto x^{p^n} is an endomorphism of the field E, we deduce that EnE_n is a subextension of E. The sequence (En)n≥0(E_n)_{n \geq 0} is ascending, with union ErE_r and hence ErE_r is a subextension of E (V, p. 11, Prop. 3). It is clear that ErE_r is a p-radical extension of K and that ErE_r contains every subextension of E which is p-radical over K.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
