Algebra, chapter V, § 16. Differential criteria of separability

— Let PP be a subfield of KK. The canonical mapping α\alpha of ΩP(K)⊗KL\Omega_P(K) \otimes_K L into ΩP(L)\Omega_P(L) is injective and the family (dL/Pxi)i∈I(d_{L/P} x_i)_{i \in I}, is a basis (over LL) of a subspace of ΩP(L)\Omega_P(L) supplementary to the image of α:ΩP(K)⊗KL→ΩP(L)\alpha : \Omega_P(K) \otimes_K L \to \Omega_P(L).

Prop. 3, a) shows that every PP-derivation of KK into a vector space VV over LL extends to a PP-derivation of LL into VV; the injectivity of α\alpha then follows by Prop. 2. The second assertion of the corollary follows from the exactness of the sequence (EP,K,L)(\mathbf{E}_{P,K,L}) and Prop. 3, b) (taking Formula (4) into account).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
