Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 30, § 4. Locally convex spaces

With the notation of prop. 5, II, p. 27, suppose that EE is the sum of the gα(Fα)g_\alpha(F_\alpha). Let FF be the topological direct sum of the family (Fα)α∈A(F_\alpha)_{\alpha \in A}, and let jα:Fα→Fj_\alpha : F_\alpha \to F be the canonical injection; suppose that g:F→Eg : F \to E is the linear mapping such that g∘jα=gαg \circ j_\alpha = g_\alpha for all α∈A\alpha \in A. If NN is the kernel of gg, then the canonical bijection F/N→EF/N \to E associated with gg is a topological isomorphism of F/NF/N on EE with the topology T\mathscr{T}.

This is a particular case of II, p. 28, cor. 2 remembering II, p. 29, Example I.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
