Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 3. Spaces of continuous linear mappings

— Every equicontinuous subset of the dual E′E' of E is relatively compact for the weak topology σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E) on E′E' (III, p. 14, Example 4).

For, if H is an equicontinuous subset of E′E', sup⁡u∈H∣u∣\sup_{u \in H} |u| is a continuous semi-norm on E; in particular, for every x∈Ex \in E, the set H(x)H(x) is bounded, hence relatively compact in the field of scalars.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
