Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 3. Spaces of continuous linear mappings

— Suppose in addition, that there exists a countable total set in EE; then every equicontinuous subset of E′E' is metrizable for the topology σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E) (III, p. 18, prop. 6); therefore to verify that a linear form uu on E′E' is weakly continuous, it is enough to verify that for every equicontinuous sequence (xn′)(x'_n) in E′E' which converges to 0 for σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E), we have lim⁡n→∞u(xn′)=0\lim_{n \to \infty} u(x'_n) = 0.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
