Topological Vector Spaces, chapter V, § 1. Prehilbertian spaces and hilbertian spaces

Let ℓ2\ell^2 (or ℓ2(N)\ell^2(\mathbf{N})) be the set of sequences x=(xn)n∈Nx = (x_n)_{n \in \mathbf{N}} of elements of KK such that ∑n=0∞∣xn∣2\sum_{n=0}^\infty |x_n|^2 is finite. One can show that ℓ2\ell^2 is a vector subspace of KNK^\mathbf{N} and define a prehilbertian space structure on ℓ2\ell^2 by means of the hermitian form (x,y)↦∑n=0∞xn‾yn(x, y) \mapsto \sum_{n=0}^\infty \overline{x_n} y_n (cf. V, p. 18).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
