Topological Vector Spaces, chapter V, § 2. Orthogonal families in a hilbertian space

— Let (ei)i∈I(e_i)_{i \in I} be an orthonormal family in a Hausdorff prehilbertian space E. The following properties are equivalent : a) the family (ei)(e_i) is total ; b) for every x∈Ex \in E, the family ⟨ei∣x⟩⋅ei\langle e_i | x \rangle \cdot e_i is summable in E, and we have x=∑i∈I⟨ei∣x⟩⋅eix = \sum_{i \in I} \langle e_i | x \rangle \cdot e_i; c) for every x∈Ex \in E,

∥x∥2=∑i∈I∣⟨ei∣x⟩∣2 \|x\|^2 = \sum_{i \in I} |\langle e_i | x \rangle|^2

(Parseval’s relation).

When E is hilbertian these conditions are also equivalent to : d) the relations ⟨ei∣x⟩=0\langle e_i | x \rangle = 0 for all i∈Ii \in I imply that x=0x = 0.

The equivalence of conditions a), b), c) follows immediately from prop. 4. When E is hilbertian, the equivalence of conditions a) and d) follows from cor. 1 of V, p. 16.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
