Functions of a Real Variable, chapter I, § 4. CONVEX FUNCTIONS OF A REAL VARIABLE

Let ff be a finite real function, continuous and twice differentiable on an interval I⊂RI \subset \mathbf{R}; for ff to be convex on II it is necessary and sufficient that f′′(x)⩾0f''(x) \geqslant 0 for all x∈Ix \in I; for ff to be strictly convex on II it is necessary and sufficient that the previous condition be satisfied and further that the set of points x∈Ix \in I where f′′(x)>0f''(x) > 0 be dense in II.

This follows immediately from the preceding proposition, and from the corollary at I, p. 14.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
