Integration, chapter II, § 1. Riesz spaces and fully lattice-ordered spaces

— Let EE be a fully lattice-ordered space, AA a non-empty subset of EE consisting of elements ⩾0\geqslant 0, such that: 1) A+A⊂AA + A \subset A, and 2) the relations x∈A, 0⩽y⩽xx \in A,\ 0 \leqslant y \leqslant x imply y∈Ay \in A. Let MM be the set of suprema in EE of those subsets of AA that are bounded above in EE. Under these conditions, every element x⩾0x \geqslant 0 of EE may be written in the form y+zy + z, where y∈My \in M is the supremum of the elements v∈Av \in A such that v⩽xv \leqslant x, and where zz is an element ⩾0\geqslant 0 that is alien to every element of MM.

At any rate y⩽xy \leqslant x, so it all comes down to showing that z=x−yz = x - y is alien to every element t∈At \in A (No. 1), in other words that u=inf⁡(z,t)u = \inf(z, t) is zero. By hypothesis, u∈Au \in A and u⩽x−yu \leqslant x - y, thus u+y⩽xu + y \leqslant x; for every v∈Av \in A such that v⩽xv \leqslant x, by definition v⩽yv \leqslant y, thus u+v⩽u+y⩽xu + v \leqslant u + y \leqslant x; since u+v∈Au + v \in A by hypothesis, also u+v⩽yu + v \leqslant y by the definition of yy; finally, since u+yu + y is the supremum in EE of the elements u+vu + v such that v∈Av \in A and v⩽xv \leqslant x, we have u+y⩽yu + y \leqslant y, whence u⩽0u \leqslant 0, which completes the proof.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
