Integration, IV, p. 19, § 3. LP spaces

*If ff and gg are two mappings of XX into FF, and α\alpha is any scalar ≠0\neq 0, then, for 1≤p<+∞1 \leq p < +\infty,

(3)

Np(αf)=∣α∣Np(f) N_p(\alpha f) = |\alpha| N_p(f)
(4)
Np(f+g)≤Np(f)+Np(g). N_p(f + g) \leq N_p(f) + N_p(g).

For, the relation (3) follows at once from Def. 1 and the fact that ∣μ∣∗|\mu|^* is positively homogeneous; on the other hand, since ∣f+g∣≤∣f∣+∣g∣|f + g| \leq |f| + |g|, the inequality (4) follows from Minkowski’s inequality (1) and the fact that ∣μ∣∗|\mu|^* is increasing.

We extend Def. 1 to the case of numerical functions, finite or not, defined on XX, by again setting

Np(f)=(∫∗∣f∣pd∣μ∣)1/p N_p(f) = \left( \int^* |f|^p d|\mu| \right)^{1/p}

for such a function ff. One sees immediately that the relations (3) and (4) also hold for these functions when f+gf + g is defined on XX and α≠0\alpha \neq 0. Moreover:

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
