Integration, chapter IV, § 4. Integrable functions and sets

— Let F\mathfrak{F} be a set, directed for the relation ⊃\supset, of integrable closed sets in XX; then the closed set B=⋂H∈FHB = \bigcap_{H \in \mathfrak{F}} H is integrable, and one has

μ(B)=lim⁡Fμ(H)and∣μ∣(B)=inf⁡H∈F∣μ∣(H). \mu(B) = \lim_{\mathfrak{F}} \mu(H) \quad \text{and} \quad |\mu|(B) = \inf_{H \in \mathfrak{F}} |\mu|(H).
For, let H0H_0 be a set in F\mathfrak{F}; since H0H_0 is integrable, it is contained in an integrable open set UU (§ 1, No. 4, Prop. 19); the open sets U∩CHU \cap \mathbf{C}H form a set directed for the relation ⊂\subset, are contained in UU, and have union U∩CBU \cap \mathbf{C}B; we are thus reduced to Prop. 11.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
