Integration, IV, p. 79, § 5. Measurable functions and sets

*Let XX be a locally compact space, μ\mu a measure on XX, AA a μ\mu-measurable subset of XX, and ff a μ\mu-measurable mapping of AA into a topological space FF. Let K\mathscr{K} be a set of compact subsets of XX, μ\mu-dense in XX. Then, there exists a partition of AA formed by a locally negligible set NN and a locally countable family (Kλ)λ∈L(K_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} of sets Kλ∈KK_\lambda \in \mathscr{K}, such that f∣Kλf|K_\lambda is continuous for every λ∈L\lambda \in L.

In view of No. 9, Prop. 14, it suffices to show that the set H⊂K\mathscr{H} \subset \mathscr{K} of subsets K∈KK \in \mathscr{K} such that K⊂AK \subset A and f∣Kf|K is continuous, is μ\mu-dense in AA. Now, it follows at once from Prop. 1 of No. 1 and condition d) of Prop. 15 that, for every compact subset K0K_0 of AA and every ε>0\varepsilon > 0, there exists a subset K⊂K0K \subset K_0 belonging to K\mathscr{K} such that ∣μ∣(K0−K)≤ε|\mu|(K_0 - K) \leq \varepsilon and f∣Kf|K is continuous; the conclusion therefore follows from Prop. 12 of No. 8.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
