Integration, chapter V, § 3. Integration of positive measures

Let f,gf, g be two positive universally measurable functions on XX, let aa be a number ≥0\geq 0, and let μ\mu and ν\nu be two positive measures on TT. Then:

a) Λ(f+g)=Λf+Λg\Lambda(f + g) = \Lambda f + \Lambda g, Λ(af)=aΛf\Lambda(af) = a\Lambda f. b) If μ\mu and ν\nu belong to the domain of Λ\Lambda, then so do μ+ν\mu + \nu and aμa\mu, and one has (μ+ν)Λ=μΛ+νΛ(\mu + \nu)\Lambda = \mu\Lambda + \nu\Lambda, (aμ)Λ=a(μΛ)(a\mu)\Lambda = a(\mu\Lambda).

The only non-obvious point is that μ+ν\mu + \nu belongs to the domain of Λ\Lambda, which is treated by observing that every positive measure bounded above by μ+ν\mu + \nu is of the form μ′+ν′\mu' + \nu', where μ′≤μ\mu' \leq \mu, ν′≤ν\nu' \leq \nu (the 'decomposition lemma', Ch. II, §1, No. 1). See also the next proposition.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
