Integration, chapter VII, § 2. Quotient of a space by a group; homogeneous spaces

— Let λ\lambda be a positive measure on X/HX/H, and ff a λ#\lambda^\#-measurable numerical function on XX. Suppose that, for every ξ∈H\xi \in H, δ(ξ)f=f\delta(\xi)f = f locally λ#\lambda^\#-almost everywhere. Then, there exists a λ\lambda-measurable function gg on X/HX/H such that f=g∘πf = g \circ \pi locally λ#\lambda^\#-almost everywhere.

Replacing ff by f/(1+∣f∣)f/(1+|f|), one reduces to the case that ff is bounded, hence locally λ#\lambda^\#-integrable. Let μ=f⋅λ#\mu = f \cdot \lambda^\#. The hypothesis on ff implies that δ(ξ)μ=f⋅δ(ξ)λ#=ΔH(ξ)μ\delta(\xi)\mu = f \cdot \delta(\xi)\lambda^\# = \Delta_H(\xi)\mu for all ξ∈H\xi \in H. There then exists (Prop. 4) a measure λ′\lambda' on X/HX/H such that μ=λ′#\mu = {\lambda'}^\#. By Cor. 1, there exists a locally λ\lambda-integrable function gg on X/HX/H such that λ′=g⋅λ\lambda' = g \cdot \lambda. By Prop. 6, f⋅λ#=λ′#=(g∘π)⋅λ#f \cdot \lambda^\# = {\lambda'}^\# = (g \circ \pi) \cdot \lambda^\#, whence f=g∘πf = g \circ \pi locally λ#\lambda^\#-almost everywhere.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
