Integration, VII, p. 56, § 3. Applications and examples

Let GG be a compact group, μ\mu the normalized Haar measure of GG, E\mathbf{E} a finite-dimensional real affine space, AA the affine group of E\mathbf{E}, and ρ\rho a homomorphism of GG into AA. Assume that, for every x∈Ex \in \mathbf{E}, the mapping s↦ρ(s)xs \mapsto \rho(s)x of GG into E\mathbf{E} is continuous. Then, for every x∈Ex \in \mathbf{E}, the point

x0=∫Gρ(s)x dμ(s)∈E x_0 = \int_G \rho(s)x\, d\mu(s) \in \mathbf{E}

is invariant under GG.

For, for every t∈Gt \in G,

ρ(t)x0=∫Gρ(t)ρ(s)x dμ(s)=∫Gρ(ts)x dμ(s)=∫Gρ(s)x dμ(s)=x0. \rho(t)x_0 = \int_G \rho(t)\rho(s)x\, d\mu(s) = \int_G \rho(ts)x\, d\mu(s) = \int_G \rho(s)x\, d\mu(s) = x_0.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
