Integration, VIII, p. 14, § 2. Linear representations of groups

The linear representation γχ,p\gamma_{\chi,p} of GG in LCp(X,β)L_C^p(X, \beta) is continuous and isometric.

Let f∈K(X)f \in \mathscr{K}(X). When ss tends to s0s_0 in GG, γχ,p(s)f\gamma_{\chi,p}(s)f tends to γχ,p(s0)f\gamma_{\chi,p}(s_0)f in K(X)\mathscr{K}(X), hence in LCp(X,β)L_C^p(X, \beta). Since the γχ,p(s)\gamma_{\chi,p}(s) are isometric, Prop. 8 is obtained by applying Remark 2 of No. 1.

For the case that χ\chi is not assumed continuous, cf. §4, Exer. 13.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
