Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter I, § 5. Solvable Lie algebras

Suppose that KK is algebraically closed. If gg is an rr-dimensional solvable Lie algebra, every ideal of gg is a term of a decreasing sequence of ideals of dimensions r,r−1,…,0r, r-1, \ldots, 0.

Every ideal is part of a Jordan-Hölder series of gg, considered as the space of the adjoint representation (Algebra, Chapter I, § 6, no. 14, Corollary to Theorem 8); then it suffices to apply Corollary 2.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
