Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IV, § 2. Tits Systems

Let X⊂SX \subset S and g∈Gg \in G. The relation gBg−1⊂GXg B g^{-1} \subset G_X implies that g∈GXg \in G_X.

Let w∈Ww \in W be such that g∈C(w)g \in C(w). Since BB is a subgroup of GXG_X, the hypothesis gBg−1⊂GXg B g^{-1} \subset G_X implies that C(w).C(w−1)⊂GXC(w).C(w^{-1}) \subset G_X, and hence that C(w)⊂GXC(w) \subset G_X by Cor. 3 of Th. 2, so gg belongs to GXG_X.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
