Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter V, § 3. Groups of displacements generated by reflections

Assume that WW is essential.

(i) If a∈Ea \in E is special, there exists a chamber CC such that aa is an extremal point of C‾\overline{C}.

(ii) If CC is a chamber, there exists an extremal point of C‾\overline{C} that is special.

The first assertion follows from Prop. 11. The second follows from the first and the fact that WW acts transitively on the set of chambers.

However, an extremal point of C‾\overline{C} is not necessarily a special point for WW (cf. Chap. VI, Plate X, Systems B2B_2 and G2G_2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
