General Topology, chapter II, § 2. Uniformly continuous functions

Let XX be a set, let (Zi)i∈I(Z_i)_{i \in I} be a family of uniform spaces, let (Jλ)λ∈L(J_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be a partition of II and let (Yλ)λ∈L(Y_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be a family of sets indexed by LL. For each λ∈L\lambda \in L, let hλh_\lambda be a mapping of XX into YλY_\lambda; for each λ∈L\lambda \in L and each i∈Jλi \in J_\lambda, let giλg_{i\lambda} be a mapping of YλY_\lambda into ZiZ_i; and let fi=giλ∘hλf_i = g_{i\lambda} \circ h_\lambda. Let each YλY_\lambda carry the coarsest uniform structure for which the mappings giλg_{i\lambda} (i∈Jλi \in J_\lambda) are uniformly continuous. Then the coarsest uniform structure on XX for which the fif_i are uniformly continuous is the same as the coarsest uniform structure on XX for which the hλh_\lambda are uniformly continuous.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
