General Topology, chapter III, § 3. Uniform structures on groups

Under the hypotheses of Proposition 9, if AA is a subset of GG which is a complete subspace with respect to the uniformity U2U_2 corresponding to T2\mathfrak{T}_2, then AA is also a complete subspace with respect to the uniformity U1U_1 corresponding to T1\mathfrak{T}_1.

If A1A_1 is the closure of AA in G1G_1, then f(A1)f(A_1) is contained in the closure of AA in G2G_2, which by hypothesis is equal to AA. Since f(A)=Af(A) = A by definition and ff is injective, we have A1=AA_1 = A.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
