General Topology, chapter III, § 3. Uniform structures on groups

Let GG be a commutative group and let T1,T2\mathfrak{T}_1, \mathfrak{T}_2 be two topologies compatible with the group structure of GG. Suppose that T1\mathfrak{T}_1 is finer than T2\mathfrak{T}_2 and that there is a fundamental system B\mathfrak{B} of neighbourhoods of OO with respect to T1\mathfrak{T}_1 which are complete with respect to the uniformity U2U_2 corresponding to T2\mathfrak{T}_2. Then GG is complete with respect to the uniformity U1U_1 corresponding to T1\mathfrak{T}_1.

The sets of B\mathfrak{B} are closed in the topology T2\mathfrak{T}_2, hence complete for the uniformity U1U_1 by Corollary 1; the result therefore follows from Proposition 4 of no. 3.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
