General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

The general definition of the entourages of an initial uniformity (Chapter II, § 2, no. 3, Proposition 4) shows that a fundamental system of entourages of FS(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{S}(X; Y) may be obtained as follows: for each A∈SA \in \mathscr{S} and each entourage VV of a fundamental system of entourages B\mathscr{B} of YY, let W(A,V)W(A, V) be the set of all pairs of mappings (u,v)(u, v) of XX into YY such that (u(x),v(x))∈V(u(x), v(x)) \in V for each x∈Ax \in A; as AA runs through S\mathscr{S} and VV runs through B\mathscr{B}, the finite intersections of the sets W(A,V)W(A, V) form a fundamental system of entourages of FS(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{S}(X; Y).

This description shows immediately that if S,S′\mathscr{S}, \mathscr{S}' are two sets of subsets of XX such that S⊂S′\mathscr{S} \subset \mathscr{S}', then the uniformity of S′\mathscr{S}'-convergence is finer than that of S\mathscr{S}-convergence.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
