General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let X,YX, Y be two sets, let (Xλ)λ∈L(X_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be a family of sets and let (Yμ)μ∈M(Y_\mu)_{\mu \in M} be a family of uniform spaces. For each λ∈L\lambda \in L, let Sλ\mathscr{S}_\lambda be a set of subsets of XλX_\lambda, let gλg_\lambda be a mapping of XλX_\lambda into XX, and let S\mathscr{S} be the set of subsets of XX which is the union of the sets gλ(Sλ)g_\lambda(\mathscr{S}_\lambda). For each μ∈M\mu \in M, let fμf_\mu be a mapping of YY into YμY_\mu, and endow YY with the coarsest uniformity for which the fμf_\mu are uniformly continuous. Then the uniformity of S\mathscr{S}-convergence on F(X;Y)\mathscr{F}(X; Y) is the coarsest uniformity which makes uniformly continuous the mappings u→fμ∘u∘gλu \to f_\mu \circ u \circ g_\lambda of F(X;Y)\mathscr{F}(X; Y) into FSλ(Xλ,Yμ)\mathscr{F}_{\mathscr{S}_\lambda}(X_\lambda, Y_\mu).

These propositions are immediate consequences of the description of a fundamental system of entourages for the uniformity of S\mathscr{S}-convergence given in no. 2, Remark 1; the details of the proofs are left to the reader. Proposition 4 implies, in particular:

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
