General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let LL be a set filtered by a filter S\mathfrak{S}, and let λ→uλ\lambda \to u_\lambda be a mapping of LL into FS(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{S}(X; Y) which has a limit vv with respect to S\mathfrak{S}; we say then that, with respect to the filter S\mathfrak{S}, the mappings uλu_\lambda of XX into YY converge uniformly to vv [or that the family (uλ)(u_\lambda) is uniformly convergent to vv] in every set of S\mathscr{S}. If L=NL = \mathbf{N} and S\mathfrak{S} is the Fréchet filter, we omit mention of S\mathfrak{S} in this statement.

More particularly, suppose that there is a commutative and associative law of composition (written additively) defined on YY. If (un)(u_n) is any sequence of mappings of XX into YY, let vnv_n be the mapping defined by

vn(x)=∑k=0nuk(x)(n∈N); v_n(x) = \sum_{k=0}^n u_k(x) \quad (n \in \mathbf{N});

we say that the series whose general term is unu_n is uniformly convergent in every set of G\mathscr{G} if the sequence (vn)(v_n) is uniformly convergent in every set of G\mathscr{G}. Likewise we define a uniformly summable family (uλ)λ∈L(u_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} of mappings of XX into YY by considering the mappings x→∑λ∈Jnλ(x)x \to \sum_{\lambda \in J} n_\lambda(x) for all finite subsets JJ of LL and the limit of these mappings in FG(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{G}(X; Y) with respect to the directed set of finite subsets of LL (Chapter III, § 5, no. 1).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
