General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let X be a set, T\mathfrak{T} a filter on X, and let Y be a uniform space. Then the set H of mappings u:X→Yu : X \to Y such that u(T)u(\mathfrak{T}) is a Cauchy filter base on Y is closed in Fu(X;Y)F_u(X; Y).

Let u0:X→Yu_0 : X \to Y lie in the closure of H in Fu(X;Y)F_u(X; Y). For each symmetric entourage V of Y, there is a mapping u∈Hu \in H such that (u0(x),u(x))∈V(u_0(x), u(x)) \in V for all x∈Xx \in X; on the other hand, by hypothesis there is a set M∈TM \in \mathfrak{T} such that (u(x),u(x′))∈V(u(x), u(x')) \in V whenever xx and x′x' are in M. Since (u0(x),u(x))∈V(u_0(x), u(x)) \in V and (u0(x′),u(x′))∈V(u_0(x'), u(x')) \in V, it follows that (u0(x),u0(x′))∈V(u_0(x), u_0(x')) \in V whenever xx and x′x' are in M, and therefore u0(T)u_0(\mathfrak{T}) is a Cauchy filter base on Y.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
