General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let XX be a topological space, YY a uniform space. Then the set C(X;Y)C(X; Y) of continuous mappings of XX into YY is a closed subset of the space F(X;Y)F(X; Y) endowed with the topology of uniform convergence.

For each x∈Xx \in X, the set of mappings of XX into YY which are continuous at xx is closed in Fu(X;Y)F_u(X; Y) (Proposition 8, Corollary 1); hence the intersection C(X;Y)C(X; Y) of these sets is also closed.

This result may be expressed in the form that the uniform limit of continuous functions is continuous.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
