Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 4. Spectra of rings and supports of modules

Let AA be a ring, MM an AA-module and aa its annihilator; if MM is finitely generated, then Supp⁡(M)=V(a)\operatorname{Supp}(M) = V(a) and Supp⁡(M)\operatorname{Supp}(M) is therefore closed in Spec⁡(A)\operatorname{Spec}(A). Let (mi)1≤i≤n(m_i)_{1 \leq i \leq n} be a system of generators of MM and let aa, be the annihilator of mim_i; then a=⋂i=1naia = \bigcap_{i=1}^n a_i, hence V(a)=⋃i=1nV(ai)V(a) = \bigcup_{i=1}^n V(a_i) (no. 3, equation (3)) and the Proposition follows from the Corollary to Proposition 16.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
