Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 2. The lift of prime ideals

Let h:A→A′h : A \to A' be a ring homomorphism such that A′A' is integral over AA, p\mathfrak{p} a prime ideal of AA, S=A−pS = A - \mathfrak{p}, (pi′)i∈I(p'_i)_{i \in I} the family of all the prime ideals p\mathfrak{p} of A′A' lying above p\mathfrak{p} and S′=⋂i∈I(A′−pi)S' = \bigcap_{i \in I} (A' - p_i); then S−1A′=S′−1A′S^{-1}A' = {S'}^{-1}A'.

In fact, by definition h(S)⊂S′h(S) \subset S' and, as

h(S)−1A′=S−1A′, h(S)^{-1}A' = S^{-1}A',

it suffices to prove, by virtue of Chapter II, §2§ 2, no. 3, Proposition 8, that, if a prime ideal q′q' of A′A' does not meet h(S)h(S), it does not meet S′S' either. Now, suppose that q′∩h(S)=∅q' \cap h(S) = \varnothing and let q=h−1(q′)q = h^{-1}(q'); then q∩S=∅q \cap S = \varnothing, in other words q⊂pq \subset \mathfrak{p}. As q′q' lies above qq by definition, it follows from Corollary 2 to Proposition 1 that there is an index cc such that q′⊂pc′q' \subset p'_c and hence q′∩S′=∅q' \cap S' = \varnothing, which completes the proof.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
