Algebra, chapter I, § 6. Extensions, solvable groups, nilpotent groups

A group GG is called nilpotent if there exists an integer nn such that Cn+1(G)={e}C^{n+1}(G) = \{e\}. The least integer nn such that Cn+1(G)={e}C^{n+1}(G) = \{e\} is called the nilpotency class of a nilpotent group GG.

If n∈Nn \in \mathbf{N}, a group of nilpotency class nn is called a nilpotent group of class nn. It is sometimes said that the nilpotency class of a group GG is finite if GG is nilpotent.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
