Algebra, chapter III, § 7. Exterior algebras

Let Δ\Delta be a commutative monoid, MM a graded A-module of type Δ\Delta and (Mα)α∈Δ(M_\alpha)_{\alpha \in \Delta}* its graduation. For every ordered pair (α,n)∈Δ×N(\alpha, n) \in \Delta \times \mathbf{N}, let ⋀α,n(M)\bigwedge^{\alpha,n}(M)* be the submodule of ⋀n(M)\bigwedge^n(M)* the direct sum of the submodules ⨂λ∈J⋀nλ(Mαλ)\bigotimes_{\lambda \in J} \bigwedge^{n_\lambda}(M_{\alpha_\lambda}), where (nλ)λ∈L(n_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L}* runs through the set of families of integers ≥0\geq 0* such that ∑λ∈Lnλ=n\sum_{\lambda \in L} n_\lambda = n, JJ* is its support and, for each (nλ)(n_\lambda), (αλ)λ∈J(\alpha_\lambda)_{\lambda \in J}* runs through the set of families of ΔJ\Delta^J* such that ∑λ∈Jαλ=α\sum_{\lambda \in J} \alpha_\lambda = \alpha. Then (⋀α,n(M))(α,n)∈Δ×N(\bigwedge^{\alpha,n}(M))_{(\alpha, n) \in \Delta \times \mathbf{N}}* is the only graduation of type Δ×N\Delta \times \mathbf{N}* compatible with the algebra structure on ⋀(M)\bigwedge(M)* and which induces on M=⋀1(M)M = \bigwedge^1(M)* the given graduation.

The fact that ⋀(M)\bigwedge(M) is the direct sum of the ⋀α,n(M)\bigwedge^{\alpha,n}(M) follows from the Corollary to Proposition 10; the rest of the proof is identical with the end of the proof of § 5, no. 5, Proposition 7.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
