Algebra, V, p. 33, § 6. Etale algebras

Let AA be a commutative algebra of finite degree over the algebraically closed field KK, such that ΩK(A)=0\Omega_K(A) = 0. Then we have m=m2m = m^2 for every maximal ideal mm of AA.

The algebra A/mA/m is an extension of finite degree of the algebraically closed field KK, whence [A/m:K]=1[A/m : K] = 1. Hence for each a∈Aa \in A there exists a unique scalar λ\lambda such that a−λ⋅1∈ma - \lambda \cdot 1 \in m; write D(a)D(a) for the residue class of a−λ⋅1a - \lambda \cdot 1 mod m2m^2. It is clear that DD is a KK-derivation of AA into the AA-module m/m2m/m^2. The universal property of ΩK(A)\Omega_K(A) (III, p. 569) and the hypothesis ΩK(A)=0\Omega_K(A) = 0 now imply that D=0D = 0, whence m/m2=0m/m^2 = 0 and so m=m2m = m^2.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
