Topological Vector Spaces, chapter II, § 4. Locally convex spaces

— 1) Suppose that EE is the union of an increasing directed, non-enumerable family of subspaces (Eα)α∈I(E_\alpha)_{\alpha \in I}, each EαE_\alpha having a locally convex topology Tα\mathscr{T}_\alpha, such that, for Eα⊂EβE_\alpha \subset E_\beta, the topology induced on EαE_\alpha by Tβ\mathscr{T}_\beta is identical with Tα\mathscr{T}_\alpha. It may be the case that the topology induced on each EαE_\alpha by the topology T\mathscr{T} is equal to Tα\mathscr{T}_\alpha and that the EαE_\alpha are Hausdorff and complete, but that EE is not complete for T\mathscr{T} (INT, III, 2nd ed., § 1, exerc. 2).

2) Let FF be a locally convex space, which is the union of an increasing sequence of vector subspaces (Fn)(F_n), and for each index nn, let Tn\mathscr{T}_n be the topology induced on FnF_n by the topology T\mathscr{T} of FF. One should beware that in general T\mathscr{T} is not the inductive limit of the Tn\mathscr{T}_n.

3) Suppose that EE is the strict inductive limit of the sequence (En)(E_n); if FF is a closed (in T\mathscr{T}) vector subspace of EE, it may be the case that the strict inductive limit of the topologies induced by the Tn\mathscr{T}_n on F∩EnF \cap E_n is strictly finer than the topology induced by T\mathscr{T} (IV, p. 63, exerc. 10).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
