Integration, chapter IV, § 3. LP spaces

— If a function ff belongs to LFp\mathscr{L}_F^p, then the function ∣f∣|f| belongs to Lp\mathscr{L}^p, and the mapping f↦∣f∣f \mapsto |f| of LFp\mathscr{L}_F^p into Lp\mathscr{L}^p is uniformly continuous (for the topology of convergence in mean of order pp).

For every ε>0\varepsilon > 0 there exists a continuous function gg with compact support, such that Np(f−g)≤εN_p(f - g) \leq \varepsilon; since ∣∣f∣−∣g∣∣≤∣f−g∣||f| - |g|| \leq |f - g|, we have Np(∣f∣−∣g∣)≤εN_p(|f| - |g|) \leq \varepsilon, which proves that ∣f∣∈Lp|f| \in \mathscr{L}^p. On the other hand, if f1,f2f_1, f_2 are two functions in LFp\mathscr{L}_F^p then Np(∣f1∣−∣f2∣)≤Np(f1−f2)N_p(|f_1| - |f_2|) \leq N_p(f_1 - f_2), which shows that f↦∣f∣f \mapsto |f| is a uniformly continuous mapping.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
