Integration, VII, p. 68, § 3. Applications and examples

a) Let U=(uij)∈SL(n,K)U = (u_{ij}) \in \mathbf{SL}(n, K). In order that U∈Ω′U \in \Omega', it is necessary and sufficient that det⁡(uij)k≤i,j≤n≠0\det(u_{ij})_{k \leq i, j \leq n} \neq 0 for k=2,3,…,nk = 2, 3, \ldots, n.

b) Ω′\Omega' is an open subset of SL(n,K)\mathbf{SL}(n, K).

c) The mapping ψ\psi is a homeomorphism of T1(n,K)×G1′T_1(n, K) \times G'_1 onto Ω′\Omega'.

For, let M∈T1(n,K)M \in T_1(n, K) and N∈t(T(n,K)∗)N \in {}^t(T(n, K)^*). In order that M⋅N∈SL(n,K)M \cdot N \in \mathbf{SL}(n, K), it is necessary and sufficient that N∈G1′N \in G'_1. Therefore Ω′=SL(n,K)∩Ω\Omega' = \mathbf{SL}(n, K) \cap \Omega and Lemma 8 follows at once from Lemma 7.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
