Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter I, § 6. Semi-simple Lie algebras

Let gg be a Lie algebra and ρ\rho and ρ′\rho' two finite-dimensional semi-simple representations of gg. Then the tensor product of ρ\rho and ρ′\rho' is semi-simple.

Let rr be the radical of gg. For x∈rx \in r, ρ(x)\rho(x) and ρ′(x)\rho'(x) are semi-simple (Theorem 4), hence ρ(x)⊗1+1⊗ρ′(x)\rho(x) \otimes 1 + 1 \otimes \rho'(x) is semi-simple (\emph{Algebra}, Chapter VIII, § 9, Corollary to Theorem 1) and hence the tensor product of ρ\rho and ρ′\rho' is semi-simple (Theorem 4).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
