Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 7. Lie groups over an ultrametric field

Suppose that p≠0p \neq 0. If GG is compact or standard, then Gf=GG_f = G.

If G is standard, it suffices to use Lemma 1. Suppose that G is compact. Let x∈Gx \in G and V be a neighbourhood of e in G. Let y be a limit point of the sequence (xn)n≥0(x^n)_{n \geq 0}. For all n>0n > 0, there exist two integers n1,n2n_1, n_2 such that n1≥2n2≥nn_1 \geq 2n_2 \geq n and xn1∈yV,xn2∈yVx^{n_1} \in yV, x^{n_2} \in yV, whence xn1−n2∈V−1Vx^{n_1 - n_2} \in V^{-1}V and n1−n2≥nn_1 - n_2 \geq n. Hence x∈Gfx \in G_f.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
