Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VI, § 3. Exponential invariants

Let ω‾1,…,ω‾l\overline{\omega}_1, \ldots, \overline{\omega}_l be the fundamental weights corresponding to the chamber CC, and, for 1≤i≤l1 \leq i \leq l, let xix_i be an element of A[P]WA[P]^W with eω‾ie^{\overline{\omega}_i} as its unique maximal term. Let

φ:Λ[X1,…,Xl]→A[P]W \varphi : \Lambda[X_1, \ldots, X_l] \to A[P]^W
be the homomorphism from the polynomial algebra Λ[X1,…,Xl]\Lambda[X_1, \ldots, X_l] to A[P]WA[P]^W that takes XiX_i to xix_i. Then, the map φ\varphi is an isomorphism.

Lemma 2 implies that the image under φ\varphi of the monomial X1n1…XlnlX_1^{n_1} \ldots X_l^{n_l} is an element with unique maximal term en1ω‾1+⋯+nlω‾le^{n_1 \overline{\omega}_1 + \cdots + n_l \overline{\omega}_l}. Since every element of P∩C‾P \cap \overline{C} can be written uniquely in the form n1ω‾1+⋯+nlω‾ln_1 \overline{\omega}_1 + \cdots + n_l \overline{\omega}_l, Prop. 3 shows that the images under φ\varphi of the monomials X1n1…XlnlX_1^{n_1} \ldots X_l^{n_l} are a basis of A[P]WA[P]^W, hence the theorem.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
