In a product space ∏i∈IXi, the closure of a product of sets ∏i∈IAi is the same as the product ∏i∈IAi of their closures.
Suppose that a=(ai) lies in the closure of ∏i∈IAi; then for each x∈I, ax=prxa is in the closure of Ax because of the continuity of prx (§ 2, no. 1, Theorem 1) and therefore a∈∏i∈IAi. Conversely, let b=(bi)∈∏i∈IAi, and let ∏i∈IVi be any elementary set containing b; for each i∈I, Vi contains a point xi∈Ai; hence ∏i∈IVi contains the point (xi)∈∏i∈IAi and therefore b lies in the closure of ∏i∈IAi.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
