General Topology, chapter I, § 8. Hausdorff spaces and regular spaces

If XX is a Hausdorff space, and if XX has a continuous section ss with respect to the equivalence relation RR, then X/RX/R is Hausdorff and s(X/R)s(X/R) is closed in XX.

For (§3§ 3, no. 5) X/RX/R is homeomorphic to the subspace s(X/R)s(X/R) of XX, which is Hausdorff. Furthermore s(X/R)s(X/R) is the set of all x∈Xx \in X such that s(φ(x))=xs(\varphi(x)) = x, where φ:X→X/R\varphi : X \to X/R is the canonical mapping; hence the second assertion follows from no. 1, Proposition 2.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
